About Bob Fenech
I have been racing pigeons for over 35 years now with a fair bit of success. I have tried many methods and techniques over the years, but my big break came when I first began to visit Belgium and Holland in the early 1980s.
Visiting some top lofts on the continent allowed me to gain valuable advice and insight into how the very best fanciers do it. The knowledge I have picked up over the past 25 years has been invaluable and has made me the fancier I am today.
Through the 1980s I visited a host of top lofts, but in the 90s I met Louis Cooreman and we became firm friends. Swapping techniques as well as young birds and both having some great results. In 1999 we decided to make a deal which meant that I was, and still am, the only British fancier to house direct imports from Louis' Lofts. The deal we made means that Louis will not sell any pigeons to the UK, and all of the Cooremans coming into the UK, will have come through my lofts.
My lofts have played host to some wonderful pigeons over the years. Louis has handed me some true champion racers and producers, including Tap & Benita, Oscar, Negro, Sint, Nele and many, many more. If you or a friend has ever bought Cooremans from me, you will no doubt see the quality of bloodlines that run through them. Newer pigeons like Waldo, Tap and Sigurd are really making their mark on the road and in the stock loft too.
In 2008 I met with Willy Everaert and decided to expand my family. I purchased a complete round from Willies stock loft in 2008, these were summer bred youngsters. I decided to let these grow on, and purchased another complete round in 2009, which were again, summer bred youngsters. This fancier houses some of the best old Soontjen bloodlines you will find in europe today. I feel sure that these will make a big name in the UK, both pure and crossed.
Pleae feel free to contact me, whether that be for a quote for young birds, more information on the above families or for any help and advice I can give you. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours in sport
Bob Fenech
